This explains what De Faveri Consulting LLC collects through instantlegalletters.com, why, and what you can do about it. We don't sell your information.
What we collect
- Your answers: deposit amounts, dates, what happened, and anything you write in your own words.
- Contact and mailing details: your name, e-mail and mailing address, and your landlord's name and mailing address, which we need to prepare and mail the letter.
- Payment: handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment, never your full card number.
- Usage data: if enabled, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity measure how pages are used (Clarity records anonymized sessions on public pages only, never on case pages). We use a hashed form of your IP address to limit abuse; we do not store the address itself.
How we use it
- To prepare your case check and letter, mail it, and show your case status.
- To generate parts of your draft with an AI model provided by Anthropic. Your answers are sent to Anthropic for that purpose only, under its commercial terms, which do not allow using them to train models.
- To send you transactional e-mails about your case. No marketing e-mails unless you ask for them.
- To improve the Service, using aggregate statistics.
Who processes it for us
Amazon Web Services (hosting, database, e-mail), Anthropic (AI drafting), Stripe (payments), our mail fulfillment provider and USPS (printing and delivery), and, if enabled, Google and Microsoft (analytics).
How long we keep it
Cases you don't pay for are deleted automatically after 30 days. Paid cases are kept for up to three years so you can access your letter and so we can meet our tax and record-keeping obligations, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your private case link
Your case page is reached through a long random link. Anyone with the link can see the case, so keep it private, as you would a password.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time through the message box on your case page or our contact form. California residents have rights under the CCPA, including to know, delete and correct; we honor them for everyone.
